I HOPE YOU LIVE

December 19, 2024

It's time to put things... to the grave.

It's the end of the year so why not end it with a new start? I have written a lot about the past of Gravemind (formerly Massive) and its hardships on Patreon throughout the years and I don't want to start this blog with something negative, which is why we'll stick to the positive. The new and everything that is about to come. When you read this, the first video of I HOPE YOU LIVE has been released and you probably followed a link just to end up here. IHYL is about the essence of everything I ever wanted to put out there. A guiding compass. A reminder that speaks of your own inner power and potential, because sometimes we tend to forget about that.

IHYL seemed like the perfect title theme for such an undertaking. It's almost as if these four words (letters in this case) explain the channel itself and the message that's at the heart of this entity formerly known as Gravemind. There's a quote by Bukowski I thought a lot about while I wasn't sure how (or if) to continue on this path. It was this: 'Invent yourself and then reinvent yourself. Don't swim in the same slough.' Now you can think whatever you want about the author himself but he wrote some great lines. 'Be self-taught and reinvent your life because you must; it is your life and its history and the present belong only to you.' Something about this always hits home. The DNA of thhis project remains the same, while the focus switches toward more catharsis-like tapes featuring mixed media. In my opinion, Gravemind has always been at its best when it was about topics that everyone has to face at one point of their lives. Things that aren't always easy to digest, to accept or to fight against. Ultimately it's about you and what you do with it, so just take what's for you and leave the rest behind. Only see these videos as a tap on the shoulder, a friend somewhere out there sending you a heads up.d

Support throughout the years There's no way this channel could've survived for 11 years without any support from you. So IHYL is each and everyone of you who has ever posted a comment, liked a video or even subscribed. Everyone who has ever entered the Patreon or just made a donation via BTC or PayPal. And last but not least everyone who's ever bought a shirt or a hoodie. I thank every single soul out there who made it possible for me to keep this show on the road and support my passion of editing and creating. Most of all thank you for being a part of IHYL. Your presence and radiance humbles me.

NEW SHOP Well... it's best to see it for yourself. I created homepages for friends and family occasionally in the past, so why not do it for this project as well? Even though I could've simply let an AI do it now (exciting times ahead!) I wanted to do this on my own, because I enjoy the process. It was about time for a homepage where everything is stored in one place. Regarding the shop: New garments, new designs and all clothes tested by myself, because I wouldn't want any product in this store that I think isn't good. Note: The production starts with your order. Once again I teamed up with a drop-shipping service making it possible for me to manage everything in one place. This means that the delivery will take a little bit (from my own experience 5 to 10 days) but the quality speaks for itself. Shirts and Tanks are a hundred percent cotton, because I prefer it over polyester. And finally - there are oversized fits which are amazing. Long story short: Just have a look at it yourself.

Now finally... what is this BLOG about?!

On this blog every new video will be released. Occasionally there will be news, thoughts and maybe even some other things we need to speak about (technology, books, current state of the world?) - future will tell.

I think these are enough words for a first blog post on ihopeyoulive. Just a few more to sum it up: There will be less videos coming out, but the quality of the videos will be better, because there's much more thought (and time) going into them.

Stay the course my friend,

Grave
