DISCONNECTED
The call of the wild.

Have you ever felt disconnected?
Like you're walking astray and totally off grid, almost as if you were a broken cog in colossal machine that doesn't stop. Whenever that feeling arises I tend to hear a calling lurking in the distance. And maybe that calling is an echo of my own voice, trying to make me aware of the fact that I have truly lost my track and therefore need to reconnect. And the only way to reconnect is to completely abandon literally everything for awhile. It may take just a few minutes - until they add up and form hours, days and maybe even weeks. The latter is a luxury one cannot easily afford, especially if you've got people depending on you.
To follow this calling means to turn your back on technology, the city, conversations and even your loved ones (even if it's just for a couple of hours). It means re-connecting with yourself, nature and life. Because whenever we're completely overwhelmed by this world's demands, when we're navigating through life on autopilot - which happens if we're not consciously aware of that trap - we will most certainly end up in a miserable spot called depression - or the need for deep rest. The way we live in today's society isn't natural, it's a domesticated way of living life. And that's not meant in a bad way, but it is something our psyche has to deal with, as a lott of people face the feeling of standing right in the middle of a surrealistic construct that was never meant for them in the first place. Yet, you're left with the decision to either play the game or to leave. And leaving isn't something we're particulary good in, as it contradicts our instinct to thrive and prevail.
Have you ever entered the woods and... after awhile... found yourself in complete silence and solace? In a state where you're just there, in the moment, existing? A feeling... no... a knowing that you really belong to something? It's a state of meditation, maybe even a glimpse at enlightenment. It can be described as a moment of joy, bliss and fulfillment. This is the state your mind longs for when it is drained completely. Whenever I find myself in the shackles of this artificial. man made world, I know I have to detach myself from it immediately. The call of the wild is demanding you to return to it. And ultimately it will revive your will to live. It'll make you remember what and who you truly are and it will make you realize what your next move will be. It's the opportunity of being one with the world by separating yourself from the artifical and social constructs and diving right into existence itself. So here's my tip of the day: Whenever you feel truly lost, alone and disconnected... go into the woods. You will most certainly come out with a clear mind, re-arranged focus and a sense of belonging, that can be achieved by existing in the moment, meditating, breathing techniques, sports and... by connecting with nature again. Sometimes it is best to clear your mind in order to be able to handle the tasks this world throws at us. Or are we throwing them at us ourselves...?
That being said... what I'm up to right now:
+more tapes in the making
+writing texts and music
+working on the homepage

On top of that... surviving the madness and navigating through the storms, just like you.
But... we got this.
I HOPE YOU LIVE.
